About the role
Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. We are seeking an energetic Leasing Representative to join our team and take ownership of a portfolio in Downtown Halifax. This is a client-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. What you’ll do:
- Manage the residential leasing of a portfolio of buildings with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Coordinate and conduct property showings and tours for prospective tenants.
- Maintain organized schedules and follow-up communications.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, both in person and through emails/phone calls.
- Support marketing efforts and have a flair for contributing to leasing strategies that drive occupancy.
- Process applications, stay informed of market trends, and other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, property management, and/or real estate.
- 1-2 years’ experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service.
- Enjoy working with people and have a passion for sales and marketing.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience using Yardi and CRM considered an asset.
- Bachelor’s Degree is considered an asset.
- Must be flexible and available to work some evenings and weekends.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
