Job Description
We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians (HDETs) to join our team. As an HDET, you will play a vital role in Magna Mining's success.
All Magna Mining team members are expected to work collaboratively with others, lead the way in health and safety, act with honesty, integrity, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit in pursuit of excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections on equipment to check for wear, damage, and safety compliance.
- Ensure equipment is safe and operational before use, with a focus on maintaining compliance with Ontario's mining regulations and safety standards.
- Use diagnostic tools and technology to monitor the health of key systems and components.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime by performing quick repairs and troubleshooting.
- Work efficiently under pressure to avoid halting production, while maintaining a focus on safety.
Requirements
Qualifications: Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents
- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician apprenticeship or equivalent certification/experience.
- Certification of Qualification or red seal is preferred.
Work Experience: Nature & Length
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
