About the Job

We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Plant Operator to join

our team at our Severn Pit in Orillia. In this hands-on role, you will operate heavy equipment and perform regular and preventative maintenance to keep our plant running safely and efficiently. Our best plant operators are easy to get along with, level-headed, and take pride in their work. They enjoy working outdoors, solving mechanical challenges, and being part of a positive, hardworking culture. If that sounds like you, you’ll fit right in.

This position offers 40–50 hours per week, with evening shifts and Saturdays as

needed. Working at our Severn Pit in Orillia.

Hourly pay of  $31.30

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Operate wash plants, crushers, and conveyor system
  • Operate Cat skid-steer equipment
  • Perform regular and preventative maintenance on plant equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support plant uptime
  • Assist in daily production around plant 
  • Watch stock piles for over size material  

Here’s What You Need

  • At least a year’s experience as a plant operator
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • A valid G License in good standing
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Experience as a heavy equipment operator an asset
  • Welder/welding experience is an asset
  • Common core training is an asset
