About the role
This role is responsible for coordination of inbound & outbound shipments from DAP’s warehouse in Scarborough, ON to customers within Canada. The Warehouse & Logistics coordinator also plays a key role in Canada Operations, assisting Sales, Customer Service and the Warehouse, reporting and identifying inventory issues and ensuring on time delivery of customer orders.
Responsibilities:
- Shipping & Planning from DAP Canada
- Plan & deliver inventory allocations to customer orders with respect to prioritization & required delivery dates
- Receive orders in Warehouse Management Systems (SAP & DC Wizard) (WMS) and allocate stock
- Work with warehouse co-ordiator to ensure orders are being picked and packed according to customer requirements
- Schedule pick up appointments with carriers and customers warehouses, coordinating delivery according to required dates
- Prepare bill of ladings
- Logistics
- Work & partner with logistics & operations to ensure inventory availability as required
- Assist in spot quote requests and reviewing spot requests rates to decide upon carrier
- Assist and support sales and customer service:
- Track and monitor shipments as required
- Coordinate customer returns & return product to the US
- Help ensure on time delivery & managing fill rates of 98%
- Inventory Management:
- Help identify labeling and packaging language issues
- Coordinate return of product to the USA, creating bills of lading and customs documentation
- Assist on reviewing of aging inventory report & blocked stock accordingly
- Other tasks as required
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience logistics and distribution
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of TWS Systems
- Great work ethic, flexibility, attention to detail and respect for deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with a variety of personalities and prioritize competing requests
- Ability to work with or without supervision
- Education in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an asset
