Job Description
Shifts Available – FULL TIME (40 hours): Straight Days, or Afternoons Looking to gain new skills for a new Career? Are you mechanically inclined and/or have experience operating equipment? - Handling heavy loads and parts for CNC or machining to specification
- Inspecting parts for defects and machining when required
- Using carpentry and other tools: drills, routers, saws to machine parts
- Recording production and scrap from materials
- Performing 5S and cleaning of working area daily Extruder - Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and maintaining quality and production extruder machin
- Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
- 5S and preventative maintenance as required.
- Using power tools to rework or remove nubs from parts as required
- Minimizing, handling and recording daily scrap levels
- Escalating and communicating issues with machine to appropriate staff levels Robotic Line - Duties & Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading parts into robotic line cell
- Monitoring robotic line ensuring it is running smoothly with no defects
- Performing quality checks to ensure packaged products meet specifications
- Packaging and skidding product at end of line with all parts inspected and approved to ship Assembly - Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operating carpentry tools: band saw, routers, drills, glue guns
- Using jigs and other pieces of equipment to assemble according to job instructions
- Packaging and skidding product ensuring all items are present and ready for shipment
- Attention to detail – ensuring any quality defects are escalated to appropriate staff Performance Measurements Produce assembled products per set standards, always maintains a clean work area, follows company policies & procedures and safety rules, punctual and reliable attendance is a must.
Education/Experience Required
- Experience using power and hand tools (saws, routers, drills) an asset
- Previous furniture assembly, using power and hand tools (saws, routers, drills) an asset
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads (50lbs), physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination, colour-identification, combination of pushing, pulling, bending, lifting, twisting Essential Skills: Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, oral communication, working with others, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, computer use, continuous learning Shifts: Days: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Afternoons: Monday - Friday 3:10 pm - 11:40 pm *$1.00/hr. shift premium Nights: Sunday - Thursday 11:20 pm - 7:20 am *$1.00/hr. shift premium Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Company events Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off Vision care Pay: From CA$21.91 per hour Please let C.R.
