About the role

The École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) is a constituent institution of the Université du Québec network. Specializing in applied engineering teaching and research and technology transfer, it trains engineers and researchers recognized for their practical and innovative approach.

Your role: Under the supervision of their immediate supervisor, performs various technical tasks related to the installation and maintenance of computer, telephone, and telecommunications systems. Participates in the deployment of telecommunications projects and provides technical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide second-level support to facilities and users
  • Diagnose and resolve network infrastructure problems
  • Install and configure network sockets, wireless antennas, and IP phones
  • Install and configure switches and other devices
  • Perform configuration changes in switches and PBX
  • Collaborate in ensuring compliance with standards and security measures
  • Document operating procedures and guides
  • Maintain inventories and place material orders

Requirements:

  • DEC in telecommunications or telecommunications network
  • Minimum 2 years relevant technical experience (Cisco/Aruba, IP telephony)
  • Extensive knowledge: Aruba, Cisco, Sangoma, ClearPass, Cisco Prime
  • Protocols: OSPF, BGP, SIP, VRF, 802.11, 802.1X
  • Tools: Wireshark, Solarwinds, Telnet, ssh, tftp, snmp
  • CISCO CCNA certification (asset)
  • French and English, spoken and written

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm. On-site minimum 4 days/week.
