We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Project Construction Coordinator. This position will manage the field level execution of projects by coordinating materials, resources, and contractors in the safe execution of projects. The candidate will work with the Project Leads to ensure that projects are delivered safely within the scope, timeline, and budget of the project. Projects will vary in magnitude, complexity and duration.
Please note that this position is based in Labrador West. Relocation assistance will be provided if required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Make safety first and foremost in all activities/deliverables.
- Provide coordination and support to the Project Lead;
- Co-ordination of activities between client and contractor completing the work;
- Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid document
- Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Assist in schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by others
- Overseeing the work and monitoring the performance of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management resources, ensuring compliance contract specification and schedule;
- Review and coordinate responses to contractor RFI’s
- Monitoring of HSE expectations;
- Providing technical support and direction to project stakeholders;
- Leading day-to-day activities of the execution team through contractor leaders or supervisors; including risk identification and hazard controls reviews daily;
- Completion of daily shift reports including construction site photographs;
- Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Lead
- Other duties that may be assigned as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- University graduate in engineering, engineering technology, or other relevant combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years in similar roles.
- Knowledge and proficiency in health and safety best practices, project management activities and principles, construction activities, and negotiaton
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Alignment with Tacora’s core values
- Self-started and action-oriented
- Eager to contribute to the teams’ success
License:
Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Required)
