About the role
Position Summary
Under the general direction of Manager, Procurement this position will be the gatekeeper for receiving all goods including equipment, food, beverages, small wares, etc. They will be responsible for checking incoming orders for freshness, completeness and condition while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadians learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate the receiving and shipping of merchandise primarily for the department to and from the warehouse and other third-party distributors.
- Inspect and verify shipments to the packing slip/purchase order and process invoices for
- accounts payable, resolving receiving discrepancies by negotiating with the driver and contacting
- vendors to reach a solution.
- Accountable for maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment and providing the highest caliber of customer service and respect to patrons and employees. In order to secure company assets, you will always maintain awareness of the gaming operation and comply with security policies and procedures.
- Work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset
- Minimum six months experience in a receiving position is an asset
- Previous experience with electrical pallet jack and other loading equipment is as asset
- Food Safety Certification
- Have a forklift ticket/certificate or willing to obtain one
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, busy environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Abilit y to lift up to 50lbs

- Standing for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending, interruptions, major exposure to heat, cold, noise, odors, mi nor exposure to fumes, chemicals, dirt, dust, non-traditional work hours
