The Director of Operational Transformation (AI) will not only oversee current production operations but will primarily be responsible for leading the strategic implementation and adoption of Agentic AI and emerging technologies across print and digital workflows. This role is a critical mandate for change management, ensuring our large team (350+ employees) embraces automation, maximizes efficiency, and unlocks new avenues for market growth. The successful candidate will be the driving force behind transitioning the department into a product-centric, future-ready service provider.

Lead Change Management: Guide a large, established workforce (350+ employees under 10 managers) through this digital shift, effectively managing resistance and fostering a culture that views automation as a tool for scaling and growth.

Drive Operational Strategy & Efficiency: Oversee operational production with a scientific mindset, developing and implementing process workflows, staff productivity metrics, and resource planning to ensure efficient, scalable execution across all deliverables (flyers, digital media).

Financial and Growth Accountability: Oversee financial metrics, forecasting, and cost management. Apply strategic analysis to maximize operational efficiency and realize new revenue opportunities through improved service offerings and scalability.

Technology Integration: Champion continuous improvement by driving innovation through the integration of AI tools, automation solutions, adoption of emerging technologies, and the institutionalization of operational best practices.

People Leadership: Coach, mentor, and evaluate the team of Production Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and professional growth, and supporting succession planning for future leadership roles.

Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with the Head of Sales, Head of Product, and Head of Marketing Science to align operational strategies with commercial and technological objectives.

Client Engagement: Actively support business development initiatives and contribute to solution design, serving as a point of escalation for high-quality production outcomes.

Qualifications When your expertise drives us:

  • You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience of progressive leadership experience with experience managing manager-level direct reports, and the demonstrated ability to cultivate talent, coach, and facilitate change across large teams.
