Summary of responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Substance Use Health, Adult Mental Health, and Youth Hub Programs, the Supervisor, Administrative Support CAMHS provides operational and administrative leadership across Community Addiction & Mental Health Services, including Child & Youth, Youth Wellness Hub, Adult Mental Health, Substance Use Health & Addictions, and Geriatric programs. The Supervisor oversees the administrative support team, coordinates staffing and workflows, and supports efficient, standardized processes across programs. Working collaboratively with managers and supervisors, the role ensures effective communication and service coordination to support staff, clients, and program operations.
Requirements of the job

Two (2) year Community College diploma in Administrative Assistant, Office Administration, or other relevant education
-
Minimum three (3) years’ experience leading administrative and project support services in settings providing counselling and support to child/youth and/or adults and families experiencing substance use health/addiction, mental health, and/or concurrent disorder issues

Demonstrated administrative leadership and supervisory skills, including the ability to hire, train, supervise, support, and retain qualified staff

Ability to lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary administrative support team and manage competing priorities effectively
-
Familiarity with counselling/therapy services for child/youth and/or adults and families experiencing addiction, mental health, and/or concurrent disorder issues
-
Knowledge of issues affecting individuals and families accessing services, including poverty, unemployment, stigma, and social isolation
-
Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Ontario Mental Health Act
-
Strong organizational, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications
-
Experience coordinating administrative processes, projects, and operational initiatives
-
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification or willingness to obtain
-
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation required
Assets
- Functional proficiency in oral French - testing completed
