About the role
BCIT’s Business Administration department is looking for a temporary, part-time (0.4 FTE**)** Instructor to teach courses in the areas of Macro and Microeconomics.
Duties & Responsibilities
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:**
We are seeking an instructor committed to quality and innovation in meeting our students’ learning needs, and who values the importance of teamwork in the workplace.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS**:**
- Master’s Degree or in progress, in a related field to business and economic principles and applications, or equivalent business economic experience (approx. 10 years).
- Excellent English-language communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Current experience involving the application of economics to business process requirements.
- Ability to work in a collegial environment.
- Ability to lead other instructors in a team-teaching model.
- Ability to teach in two or more of the following areas:

Microeconomics and macroeconomics principles, market operations, government’s role, monetary and fiscal policies, and economic analysis; focusing on fundamentals of markets, supply and demand, consumer and producer behaviour, and monopoly and competition.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching in a post-secondary institution.

Salary Range
Salary Range: $65,045 - $113,545 per annum.
Additional Salary Information
Salary prorated based on percentage and term of appointment. Salary based on education, experience and placement criteria as outlined in the Collective Agreement.
