About the role
Overview We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Carpenter to join our construction team. This year 1 or year 2 carpenter position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry and construction projects, providing a valuable foundation for a career in the trades. The Apprentice Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced carpenters and project managers to develop essential skills in building, restoration, and finishing work. This role is ideal for individuals interested in learning the trade, gaining practical skills, and contributing to high-quality construction projects.
This position is with our award winning Renovation Team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
- Support concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks on-site
- Participate in framing, siding installation, and restoration projects as directed
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting and assist with material handling to ensure smooth workflow
- Contribute to woodworking tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Aid in concrete finishing activities and other related tasks as needed
- Clean and tidy job sites
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry practices - year 1 or year 2 apprentice
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, woodworking, concrete forming
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively within a team environment
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass any required safety training
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
