Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join a corporate accounting team focused on delivering accurate, timely external and internal reporting under tight deadlines. The role partners across finance and operations to produce high‑quality analyses, working papers, and audit‑ready packages while supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing competing deadlines with professionalism and attention to detail.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

• Prepare complete, accurate working papers supporting quarterly and annual financial statements and MD&A
• Contribute to month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, ensuring deliverables are on time and well documented
• Draft clear, defensible technical accounting memos and support review discussions
• Produce financial and operational analyses for auditors and lenders, including credit‑facility requirements
• Compile internal financial statements for multiple legal entities for management, tax, and board audiences
• Maintain and improve the financial close process, including data integrity, clean‑up, and validation tasks
• Support ERP‑related activities and help implement efficient reporting tools and features
• Build effective relationships across departments and provide timely, service‑oriented support
• Identify process improvements and help implement changes that enhance accuracy and speed
• Coach and mentor teammates to raise the overall capability of the reporting group

Your strengths include:

• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
• Experience preparing year‑end financial statements and notes, and supporting audited filings
• Prior exposure to both internal and external audits
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong Word proficiency
• Proven analytical skills, sound judgment, and a proactive, problem‑solving approach
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with a professional, ethical mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels
• Self‑starter who works well independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Familiarity with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., SAP Business One, NetSuite, Workiva/Wdesk) considered an asset
• Fluent in English, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality output
