The Opportunity

We are currently seeking aBusiness Analyst (Support Commercial)to join ourIT Business Process & Value Realizationteam in Sudbury, Ontario or Toronto, Ontario.

The role is a 18 month-fixed term position.

As a/an Business Analyst you will play a critical role in supporting the successful design, validation, testing, and business readiness activities for the IT Foundation (IT complete Carveout Program) within the IT Business Change & Value Realization function. This position partners closely with IT, Business Process Owners, Business Process Delegates, Business Units, Business Process Analysts, training and communications teams, and functional SMEs to ensure end‑to‑end process representation, readiness, and value capture across global operations

Additionally, in this position you will:

• Represent the assigned business process end‑to‑end within the IT Foundation Program.

• Ensure and guarantee alignment between IT and Commercial Support & Cash to Order Business stakeholders on process, scope, requirements, and readiness.

• Participate hands‑on in building test scenarios, test scripts, and test data.

• Execute testing cycles, document outcomes, identify defects, and support defect resolution.

• Collaborate with IT and business SMEs to validate system behavior against business requirements.

• Plan, Develop, review, and validate training materials for functional teams.

• Support live training delivery, attendance tracking, and learner readiness.

• Support data cleansing, validation, and preparation activities needed for cutover and testing. Define a contingency plan for all critical activities.

• Mapping and Manage the Enterprise Initiatives in VBM to support anticipate the potential risks in the Program with Vale Base Metals

• Support any other change in management, training, communication, testing, or readiness activities required by the program.

About You

Education:

• Mining related degree or equivalent

Experience:

• SAP implementation experience (ideal: SAP 2014 or major upgrades)
• OR heavy SAP operational use + desire to move into IT
• OR very senior candidates looking for a high-impact, career‑accelerating role

Skills:

• Analytical, structured thinker
• Negotiation ability (push back appropriately)
• Strong cross-functional communication
• Ability to connect the dots across systems and teams
