About the role
We’re looking for an Estimator who has significant experience in HVAC, Infrastructure to lead the development of accurate, competitive, and executable estimates on heavy civil and infrastructure projects. This role is hands-on and accountable for driving estimates from early concept through submission, working closely with preconstruction, operations, and leadership to ensure projects are priced right and built right.
What You'll Be Responsible For Estimating & Bid Preparation Prepare accurate estimates for heavy civil, water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects Develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates Assist in building first-principles, bottom-up estimates Support bid submissions by ensuring estimates are complete, accurate, and competitive
Scope Review & Cost Analysis Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents Identify project scope, assumptions, and potential risks Assist in developing pricing strategies and estimate documentation Flag scope gaps, cost-saving opportunities, and constructability considerations
Quantity Take-Offs & Pricing Complete detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations Prepare pricing summaries and cost breakdowns Help ensure all project scope is captured within the estimate
Preconstruction Support Assist with conceptual budgets and preliminary pricing Support design-build pursuits and alternative costing exercises Participate in value engineering and cost comparison exercises where appropriate
Collaboration Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, operations, and field teams Participate in estimate reviews and bid strategy discussions Help ensure estimates reflect practical construction methods and project requirements Support a collaborative and continuous improvement culture within the estimating team
What You Bring Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Practical understanding of construction methods and sequencing Organized and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Effective communicator who works well with both office and field teams Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
Experience & Qualifications 3-7 years of estimating experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, water, wastewater, or industrial construction Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is considered an asset Experience interpreting drawings, specifications, and contract documents Strong quantity take-off and cost estimating skills Experience obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing Familiarity with estimating software such as Bluebeam, Bid2Win, HeavyBid, or similar is considered an asset Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Valid driver's licence and willingness to visit project sites as required

$130,000-$165,000 DPE (compensation will be based on experience for more junior candidates)

Our Toronto office is conveniently located in Mississauga with quick access to major highways including the 401, 403, and 410, making commuting easy from across the GTA. It’s ideally situated for those coming from Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, and Vaughan, with a location that helps avoid heavy downtown Toronto traffic. The office is also close to Pearson International Airport, making it well-suited for project travel.

About Industra Construction Corp.
Industra Construction Corp. (formerly Bryco Projects Inc.) was founded in 2011 by brothers Scot and Rob Brydon in Kelowna, British Columbia. With extensive experience in municipal infrastructure and industrial construction, the Brydon brothers set out to pursue their passion for complex and challenging projects, often with logistical challenges. In 2014, the company was relocated to the Metro Vancouver area to better serve the growing infrastructure market demands.
