Sr Program Manager - Capacity Products (FTT)
Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 05
Employment type: Temporary Region: Lower Mainland
Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid
Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00
What you'll do
The Capacity Products team is responsible for demand response programs, across all sectors, residential, commercial and
industrial, to provide MW savings at a system level. The team is also responsible for Non-Wires Alternatives solutions,
using energy efficiency and demand response programs, to solve localized capacity constraints. The team leads trials and
pilots that explore new product technologies to provide additional load flexibility.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead a dynamic portfolio of products focused on the Industrial and Large
Commercial sectors. This role is responsible for end-to-end program management including product development
implementation, customer engagement, budget oversight, performance reporting, and cross-functional team leadership.
You will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives and delivering impactful solutions for high-value customer segments.
The successful candidate will
- Be responsible for business planning and reporting and be accountable for the results to ensure performance targets are
achieved and/or initiate alternate strategies.
- Provide leadership and direction for multi-disciplinary teams to execute complex sector specific products which require
multiple approaches to customers utilizing various delivery methods.
- Manage annual budget and liaising with cost centre managers regarding budgetary issues.
- Establishes strong relationships and communication channels with internal and external clients/ stakeholders to ensure
success of program delivery.
- Provides specialist knowledge to internal stakeholders and customers regarding the development and operation of
programs and projects.
- Develops briefing notes, analyses, and reports for senior management and the government
- Understand, investigate and analyze product and market trends and issues related to demand response to meet capacity
savings.
- Run regular project update meetings and design workshops to ensure regular communication amongst program
stakeholders
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant discipline such as business
administration.
- 8-10 years of experience with program and project management within a large, complex organization. Experience within
an industrial and/or commercial setting is desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Understand market trends and customer needs. An understanding of Demand-side Management (DSM) strategies is
desirable.
- Proven critical thinking, including analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in budgeting, performance reporting, variance analysis and risk assessments.
- Experience in program or product management including developing and implementing significant program, process and/
or system changes

Demonstrated ability to build influential relationships internally and externally, at every level of the organization.

Results-driven, while respecting the importance of collaboration and teamwork.

Requires excellent oral, written and presentation skills for communication with a wide variety of internal and external
stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of BC Hydro's business and the interdependencies of the various departments and
systems.
- Familiarity with CRM (Customer relationship management) systems or tools is desirable.
