As a key player in the financial services marketplace of Northern Ontario we are excited to announce that we are currently seeking a Director of Sales.

The Director of Sales provides vision, leadership, and commitment to delivering exceptional financial services across a defined market, while fostering strong collaboration with internal and external partners. Reporting to the SVP of Member Experience, the Director of Sales ensures that member, staff, and business needs are met with excellence, while driving growth and strengthening Northern’s presence in the communities we serve.

As a leader and champion, the Director of Sales inspires and guides our Branch and Market Managers, building a high-performing and motivated sales team dedicated to delivering value to our members and achieving organizational success. With strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and a focus on innovation, the Director helps drive profitable revenue, reduce risk, and position Northern Credit Union as a trusted financial partner.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to branch and market teams, ensuring alignment with Northern’s business plan and growth objectives.
  • Drive sales performance, member satisfaction, and operational excellence through coaching, support, and effective change management.
  • Oversee budgeting, performance expectations, and day-to-day strategic activities, ensuring adaptability in a dynamic and evolving financial landscape.
  • Champion innovation and digital solutions that enhance the member experience and contribute to long-term growth.

Preferred candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in sales leadership, retail banking, or financial services.

  • Strong working knowledge of retail banking, credit, and financial solutions.

  • Proven success in leading change, execution, and delivery within a complex environment.

  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills, with keen attention to detail.

  • A forward-thinking mindset with an appreciation for technological advancements in e-commerce and digital banking.

Location: Remote / Hybrid - Within Northern’s existing regional footprint (preferred).

Salary Range: $115,459 - $129,892
