  • Support with the preparation of priority work list and delivery of the work based on the established priority for the construction season.
  • Support with the Completion of the work by utilizing existing contracts or even assisting to create contract(s) to help achieve business unit's goals and objectives.
  • Safety reporting & Inspections.
  • Help ensure Quality Assurance & Quality Control.
  • Assist with data review & data entry, using Power BI.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in your second year of a Civil Engineering Technology - Construction Management Major, Civil Engineering Technology - Municipal Major. Civil Engineering Technology Programs.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Power BI and ArcGIS.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than six demerits.
  • Use of personal vehicle is required.
  • Success in this position requires excellent organizational and communication skills; a high degree of customer focus; strong research and problem-solving skills and focus on attention to detail; and the ability to work well both independently and in a team.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2026.
  • Must obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.
  • A security clearance will be conducted.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

Pre-employment Drug Test: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis. Failure to pass a pre-employment drug test may prevent an applicant from being hired into any safety sensitive position for a period of up to twelve months.

Compensation: $29.82 per hour

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week.

Days of work: This position works a 5-day work week with 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Location: 1075, 7 Street S.E.
