The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for a Process Engineer in our Engineering Department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Engineer
- The position reports directly to the Process Engineering Manager.
- The function is to provide technical engineering / quality / program support to the Customer and NARMCO in advance quality planning and process control.
- Process Engineer will establish the GD&T, and all critical process features.
- Create all Customer and NARMCO Quality documentation for assigned programs (Customer specific documentation applies). All documentation to be saved in Narmco Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Establish GD&T criteria from Customer supplied GD&T and establish process control feature for assigned programs.
- Work jointly with Tool Engineer and / or Program Management to meet timelines of the assigned project.
- Develop fixture concepts with fixture vendor through the applicable standard and lessons learnt for approval with Customers.
- Obtain fixture approval with Customers.
- Review fixture status and compliance with fixture vendors on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding timelines assigned to each project and all NARMCO milestones and objectives.
- Review Quality documentation with manufacturing facilities prior to 106-piece runs.
- Assist Manufacturing facilities as needed to improve processes and documentation.
- Responsible to have Gauge R and Gauge R & R completed and approved by Customer.
- Responsible to have initial fixture certification completed and approval by Customer.
- Support early containment at Plant and Customer launch.
- Support Customer PPAP approval and submission.
Education and Skills and Experience

- A University or College graduate with emphasis in Quality and Engineering.
- A minimum of five years work experience in related field in stamping and assembly area.
- Work experience must contain strong communication skills and time management.
- The ability to read GD&T, statistical process control, process measurement, quality related documentation, AIAG standards, ISO standards, strong computer skills for office administration and personal skill for customer relations.
