About the role
Data Analyst On behalf of our energy client, Procom is searching for a Data Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office. There will also be occasional travel throughout Alberta for onsite visits.
Data Analyst - Job Description: The Data Analyst will work on our client's pipeline project, focusing on delivering data and analytics solutions. The role involves understanding and analyzing business needs, liaising between business stakeholders and technical teams, and ensuring the delivery of accurate dashboards and analytics to inform decision-making during the pipeline construction project.
Data Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze reporting and analytics requirements across the project
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize requirements and define objectives
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment of objectives and requirements
- Work with diverse teams including office and field personnel, Project Management Consultancy, and client enterprise data and analytics team
- Develop and maintain cross-functional, cross-application data model
- Analyze and report on data health throughout the project
- Ensure data quality across applications and compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform manual data downloads and uploads from existing tools to project specific tools if required
Data Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 6+ years of Data Analysis experience across complex, multidisciplinary projects
- Direct experience with PowerBI
- Experience delivering complex data reporting and analytics solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Strong facilitation, communication, and synthesis skills
- Familiarity with pipeline construction processes and regulatory environments
- Familiarity with Agile tools and techniques, such as Jira, Trello, or Kanban boards
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments in a fast-paced Agile environment
Data Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with implementation or use of Ecosys (Project Controls)
- Familiarity with Procore (Construction Management)
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 (Schedule Management)
- Familiarity with Vintri (Material Management)
Data Analyst – Assignment Length: This is a 12-month contract position with the potential for extension.
Data Analyst - Start Date: ASAP
Data Analyst - Assignment Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
