Part Time Facilities Maintenance-MOH (Contract)

About the role

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Facilities, this position is responsible for daily maintenance and repair of the facility. Ensures adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintaining and repairing equipment, property and general building and preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining HVAC systems, including daily inspections, monitoring and minor repairs, filter replacement
  • Completing assigned workorders in a timely manner
  • Completes daily inspection of facility for safety hazards, reports, repairs as required and documents
  • Maintains basic equipment, reports inefficiencies
  • Assist with Shipping and Receiving when required
  • Escort and assist outside contractors as required
  • Assist other departments with moves and projects as required
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Complies with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience; experience with pallet jacks and warehousing an asset
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Forklift Certificate an asset
  • WHMIS
  • Valid Drivers License and clean Drivers Abstract
  • Can understand, speak and write English
  • Basic computer skills

Work Environment Considerations:

  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, driving, some exposure to heat and cold, dust, dirt, non-traditional work hours
