This Position reports to:
District Sales Manager
Programs and processes implemented are to facilitate ease of doing business with ABB Installation Products. The channel representative will be responsible for evaluating business opportunities within our partners which directly impact the territories for the ELIP business.
The role requires collaborative implementation of marketing, merchandizing, inventory rationalization, ecommerce and digital training within our channel partners.
Territory Responsibilities are to support Golden Horseshoe+ Tri City (Niagara Peninsula, Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Brantford, Cambridge, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph).
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
This role reports to the; ABB Milton office
This position is accountable for the distribution development of ABB Installation Products (ELIP).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing channel strategy input from the sales team and harmonizing marketing and commercial operation plans.
- Identify and evaluate channel partner opportunities. Conduct inventory rationalization independently and in collaboration with our channel partners to recognize product gaps and opportunities for our sales force. Authorize in coordination with sales management and annual performance assessments.
- Marketing. Coordinate pricing policies that require channel/segment partner participation. Ensure the appropriate communication, promotion and training activities for these policies.
- Channel Management. Evaluate and certify channel partners ensuring training for channel and ABB personal with aspects of marketing analysis, Ecommerce and digital sales tools, point of sale merchandizing, market segmentation, considering demand creation techniques of our partners, channel model and cost structures and effective channel program development.
- Channel relationships. Encouraged developing professional relationships with our channel partners, customers and primary decision makers of the territories. Act as a focal point of problem resolution and monitor channel claims.
- Risk Evaluations. Monitor channel financial status and report changes regarding risk to relevant internal teams. Responsible for managing risks related to contract agreements across customers/ channels/ segments.
- Market Activity. Monitor competitor activity with each channel partner and ensure the appropriate response strategies are formulated.
- Pricing. In collaboration with price management, evaluates price/volume tradeoffs through tactical review and approval/disapproval of potential business opportunities.
- Negotiations contribute to critical sale and frame agreement negotiations. Channel representative support the sales team in the offering and proposal process of quotes, bids, agreement terms and the management of signature service programs and well as any commercial agreements.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of Retail, Merchandizing and/or Marketing Experience
- Preferably familiar with electrical industry and historical Go-To Market strategies
- Preferably with experience of retail and merchandizing
- Lead initiatives, communicate effectively across teams, and act as a change agent to drive organizational improvements.
- Apply strong business acumen and strategic mindset to identify opportunities and implement process improvements.
- Manage or support projects, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively as a team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
