Job Description We are currently seeking candidates for the role of Kent Homes Accountant. Kent Homes is a modular home builder, servicing the residential and commercial market, as well as fleet trailer manufacture and rental. This role is based within our Finance team in Saint John, New Brunswick and works closely with all stakeholders to drive organizational value through ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the accounting and reporting function.

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree
• Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation is required
• 3+ years of relevant accounting work experience
• Highly self-motivated, innately curious, and solutions focused
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Continuous improvement mindset
• High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with JD Edwards, TM1, Power BI and/or Blackline considered an asset

Qualifications

• Provide financial insight to site management team
• Team management responsibilities
• Complete period-end processing and weekly tasks
• Prepare financial reporting packages
• Evaluate, analyze, and investigate both financial and manufacturing variances
• Ensure adequate internal controls are in place
• Identify improvements for accounting processes
• Lead and participate in improvement projects to optimize processes
• Act as the primary liaison for Kent Homes year-end audit coordination
• Leverage emerging technology to enhance reporting and increase efficiency
