**Reports To:**Supervisor of Operations/Operations Manager
Purpose
The First Aid Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the park’s First Aid services, ensuring exceptional guest care, compliance with all health and safety regulations, and effective leadership of First Aid Attendants. This role provides advanced care within scope of practice, coordinates emergency response efforts, and ensures accurate documentation, training compliance, and clinic readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced first aid care, triage, and medical assessments to guests and employees.
- Guide First Aid Attendants through complex medical calls and ensure proper escalation to EMS when required.
- Perform and oversee efficient triage to prioritize patients based on severity and urgency.
- Administer CPR, AED use, oxygen therapy, and other scope-appropriate interventions.
- Support safe discharge or appropriate handoff to emergency services
- Supervise daily operations of First Aid Attendants, providing coaching, mentorship, and feedback.
- Conduct daily briefings, including reviewing medical protocols, staffing needs, and operational updates.
- Oversee scheduling, timecard corrections, and shift coverage adjustments.
- Ensure accurate and complete medical documentation, injury reports, and incident investigations.
- Monitor team compliance with training, certifications, park standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure First Aid operations comply with all Health & Safety standards, PHIPA, the Health Care Consent Act, and TSSA reporting requirements.
- Lead injury investigations and collaborate with internal departments to identify hazards and mitigate risk.
- Coordinate with local police, fire, and paramedic services during emergency operations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary First Aid facilities, ensuring treatment rooms turn over quickly and professionally
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, inventory management, and restocking of medical supplies.
- Ensure emergency medical equipment (AEDs, oxygen kits, trauma bags, etc.) remains fully operational.
- Assist with ongoing training drills, emergency simulations, and department competency checks.
- Support cross-department emergency responses and park-wide incident management.
- Complete administrative tasks including chart scanning, filing, and electronic documentation.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Superior triage, assessment, and decision making abilities under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to deliver calm, compassionate care.
- Strong understanding of emergency medical procedures, protocols, and best practices.
- Ability to use two-way radios professionally and efficiently.
- Proficient with computer systems, electronic charting, and medical documentation software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate, guest focused approach.
- Ability to use two way radios and digital patient care systems.
Required Certifications
- Valid Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C / BLS.
- Valid Ontario G2 or G class driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a first-aid, emergency responder, or medical services role.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required.
Assets
- Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) student, nursing, or related medical training.
- Experience in first aid roles within theme parks, aquatics environments, or large venues

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level is generally moderate.
