Job Summary Our client, an established organization within the food and consumer goods distribution sector, is seeking a high-energy Sales Representative to drive new business growth across regional markets. This role is heavily focused on prospecting, opening new accounts, and expanding market presence through proactive outbound sales efforts. The successful candidate will play a direct role in revenue acceleration while partnering with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from acquisition to ongoing account management.
The Role
- Actively prospect, qualify, and secure new customer accounts within the assigned territory
- Develop and execute outbound sales strategies, including cold outreach, active account expansion, and follow-up campaigns
- Identify untapped market segments and convert leads into long-term customers
- Lead sales conversations from first contact through close, with accountability for revenue and pipeline growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new customers and handoff to ongoing account support
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and activity reporting through CRM tools
The Ideal Candidate
- 3+ years of experience in business development, new account acquisition, or hunter-focused sales roles
- Demonstrated success generating leads, closing new business, and building a sustainable sales pipeline
- Confident, resilient communicator comfortable with high-volume outbound activity and rejection
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a results-driven mindset
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and disciplined in managing territory and priorities
- Experience in distribution, wholesale, or CPG environments is a strong asset
