About the role

Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioners (NP) specialized in Clinic settings to join our amazing team working near Owen Sound, Ontario we’re ready when you are! Working as a member of the inter-professional team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide specialized services in the management of patient care. Working in collaboration with other Corporate Health Services professionals to enhance the provision of quality care including autonomously diagnosing and treating illnesses. This role also involves ordering and interpreting test as well as prescribing medications and performing medical procedures within the legislated scope of practice. You will be consulting with a Physician or other Corporate Health Services professional when the patient's condition requires beyond the NP’s scope of practice.

We are looking for Passionate and experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who can commit to a one-year contract with a possible extension, starting in May 2025. This role requires you to be in the clinic three days a week, offering part-time hours. The pay range is $100-$125 per hour. Please note that we do not offer accommodations for this position.

Job Qualifications Our “exemplary standing” with Accreditation Canada is held to the highest regard and is a testament to the fact that we uphold the same hiring standards and patient care delivery as the facilities in which we serve.

  • Baccalaureate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
  • Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in good standing with the College of Nurse of Ontario
  • 5 years experience in clinic setting, capable to be independent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience with written documentation, care plans and dictation.
  • Able to prescribe controlled substances as authorized by CNO.
  • Manage, direct and provide comprehensive health care for individuals and families who visit the Clinic as well as Lead the development and implementation of education and awareness programs
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
  • Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
  • Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV), tetanus, pertussis, polio, hepatitis B and COVID-19
  • Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one year or negative chest x-ray within the past five years
  • Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check or Criminal Record Check as a condition of hire
