Pine Grove Correctional Centre is seeking a highly motivated Addictions and Programs facilitator on a term Part-time basis. As the successful candidate, your duties will include providing leadership and direction to staff/volunteers, completing Addictions assessments and preparing inmate evaluations.
The successful candidate will have a combination of education and experience in Addictions Counselling. Preference will be given to candidates with certification in Addictions Counselling. As the successful candidate, you will typically have practical experience in delivering programming of Addiction treatment and recovery principles and practices, methodologies of assessing and providing specialized treatment, as well as practical experience with Cognitive Behavioral programming.
You will be responsible for facilitating Cognitive Behavioural Addiction Programs, one-to-one counselling with inmates and preparing inmate assessments for Justice stakeholders and the community. You will act as liaison with community resources and as a resource to the Correctional Centre as a whole, particularly for the Assistant Deputy Director of Programs, Corrections Officers and Nursing Staff. Execution of these duties will depend on your communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with your colleagues, inmates, community, and other stakeholders within the Correctional Centre environment.
This position will also be responsible for facilitating other programs as needed.

Hours of Work**:**C - SGEU Regulated 37.33 - one day off every three weeks
Criminal Record Check Requirement**:**The successful candidate shall be subject to a Criminal Record Check, including a vulnerable sector query, as a condition of employment
