Musselwhite Mine
Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board and shareholder base.
Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part our larger South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed Orla to more than double our gold production and provide a strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. The Musselwhite Mine is highly prospective with potential to expand resources and mine life for years to come.

Purpose
The Inventory Controller is responsible for all inventory systems, material requirement planning the appropriate inventory levels, storage locations maintenance, material catalogue management (including new stock processing and material change requests), stock movement analysis, inventory count planning and month end reconciliations. The Inventory Controller is also responsible for all prescribed requirements under Occupational Health & Safety Act (OH&S Act) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) for accurate floor plans and inventories of designated substances. Inventory Controller role may include other reasonable duties/task from time to time.
Responsibilities include:
- Recognizes safety issues and corrects, delegates, or recommends corrective action.
- Provide layout of WHMIS controlled items in inventory.
- Follow Orla’s Fatality Risk Management (FRM) standard.
- Will review and approve daily purchase requisitions for the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system.
- Must ensure all new stock request forms are competed properly and have all appropriate approvals using the Orla standard Catalog Inventory Request (CIR) form.
- Responsible for updating physical inventory data entry for month end.
- Review stock items on their first delivery and potential new items with the warehouse operator to minimize duplication of stock, add any new cross reference numbers.
- Data maintenance of the materials management catalogue descriptions, keywords, cross references and equipment references.
- Control inventory levels by reviewing, analyzing, reporting and directing corrective action based on historical data. Special emphasis to be given to items which continually stock-out.
- Generation and maintenance of floor plans and accurate inventory levels of designated substances required under applicable legislation.
- Assist in the design and set up of new inventory areas.
- Assistance to end users as it pertains to warehousing functions.
- Generating inventory counts to ensure all items are counted per corporate guidelines.
- Identify warehousing optimizations and trainings with internal customers/end users to help them order materials using internal SAP system.
- Work with end users to plan and schedule material requirements.
- Work with supply chain staff on accurate and efficient Materials Management.
- Interact with department heads, front line supervisors, production and maintenance personnel. Responsible for reviewing completed work, monitoring work in progress, providing direction, assigning tasks, and assessing performance.
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- 2-5 years of SAP Materials Management module knowledge and understanding.
- 2-5 years of Supply Chain, Buyer, Contracts, or planning roles and progressive experience in inventory control, procurement and warehousing in industrial setting.
- KPI Management/Reporting programs.
- Experience with computerized systems and PC's a must.
- Ability to interact well with customers and vendors.
- Ability to organize work, prioritize and execute with minimal supervision.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word, MRO-IMAFS experience preferred.
Working Conditions
The schedule for this position will consist of 7 Days on 7 Days off, 12 hours per day.
