If so, we have a brilliant career opportunity for you as a Business Development Manager , covering a territory of Alberta and Saskatchewan .
This full-time position will provide you the opportunity to leverage your sales experience and industry knowledge to grow the organizations construction market share across commercial, retail, oil & gas, heavy industry, and agriculture sectors. As a natural relationship-builder, you will develop and maintain strong working relationships with owners, developers, general contractors, engineers, and other key stakeholders to win work and support project execution. Your goal will be to become their trusted construction partner.
Your average day will see you prospecting new business, delivering memorable client presentations, preparing proposals and RFIs/RFP responses, and coordinating with the estimating and operations teams to secure and execute contracts. You will travel across the region to meet clients, attend trade events, and promote the organizations capabilities.
Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of related sales, account management, or business development experience (B2B preferred)
- Proven success in prospecting, relationship development, and closing new business
- Experience or existing relationships in the construction industry considered an asset
- Post-secondary education required (technical diploma or Bachelor of Commerce preferred)
- Strong ability to prepare presentations, proposals, and respond to RFIs/RFPs
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical, and CRM management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency and commitment to client satisfaction
- Goal-oriented with ability to track and report individual and departmental activities/results
- Demonstrated ability to present credibly at all organizational levels and deliver client-focused solutions
Other Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract
- Ability to travel across Alberta and Saskatchewan (and further as required)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
