Administrator, Recreation Customer Service
About the role
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Coordinator, Recreation Customer Service, this role is responsible for providing front-line customer service excellence with the Community and Human Services department. This position will promote and assist with the delivery of service in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner by supporting front-line Customer Service Representatives with day-to-day operational duties in Recreation facilities. As the Administrator, Recreation Customer Service, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Providing frontline support at the customer service desk for staff from onboarding to ongoing support with high volumes, difficult clients, and emergency situations.
- Process and accept payments for program registrations, facility bookings, memberships and point of sale transactions.
- Perform administrative tasks (i.e., attendance, preparation, Injury and Incident Reports when required, daily reconciliation for cash balancing).
- Will provide solo front desk coverage in facilities with less volume that do not require multiple staff on the desk.
- Respond and resolve customer service issue using sound judgement with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Maintain composure in escalated situations as they arise.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a passionate professional with a post-secondary diploma in Business Administration, Recreation Studies, or closely related field. Our ideal candidate has minimum 2 years of client service experience, computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and valid Standard First Aid; CPR certification.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated service-orientation that reflects Caledon’s quality standards: accurate, courteous, responsive, and easy to navigate. We are seeking an individual with knowledge of Xplor Recreation, CityWide, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other software including, Work Order, and Asset Management software.
The successful candidate for Administrator, Recreation Customer Service will be required to work a flexible schedule, including on site and regular evening hours (as required).
This position offers an hourly range of $33.48 to $41.85.
Satisfactory passing of a vulnerable sector check, and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate(s) for this position.
