Front of House Manager Part Time at Peterborough Memorial Center
About the role
Are you ready to lead a team in a high-energy, fast-paced sports and
entertainment environment? We are seeking a dynamic, organized Shift Supervisor to oversee our food and beverage concessions, premium suites, or dining areas during major events. In this role, you will lead front-line associates, manage inventory, ensure flawless food safety, and deliver a world-class fan experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate frontline associates during live game-day operations.
- Coordinate station setups, associate assignments geared to event schedules.
- Train and coach team members on speed of service, upselling, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Resolve fan complaints quickly and professionally to maintain a positive arena atmosphere.
- Manage opening and closing procedures for assigned concession stands, bars, or premium suites.
- Reconcile cash drawers, process card payments, and verify inventory counts before and after event shifts.
- Monitor stock levels before, mid-event, and after to be sure there is rapid replacement.
- Maximize sales by ensuring all menu items are correctly priced, displayed, and prepared
- Enforce strict food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with HACCP, local health regulations, all Compass policies, and ensure all logs are filled out correctly.
- Maintain pristine cleanliness across all service areas, and condiment stations.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying ID's and using your Smart Serve.
The hourly wage rate for this position is $22. Final compensation will be
determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role.
