Veolia and the City of Winnipeg entered in a 30-year Program Agreement in 2011. Part of Veolia’s role is to provide support services for capital projects within the Winnipeg Sewage Treatment Program (WSTP). Under the general direction of the Program Leader and the City’s Project Director, the Program Administrator will be a part of a diverse team of both Veolia and City of Winnipeg employees (the Program Team) to assist in delivery of three major projects worth approximately $3 billion dollars. The Program Administrator will work out of the City of Winnipeg Waste and Waste Engineering Department (1199 Pacific) and at the North End Sewage Treatment Plant (NEWPCC).

Job Description

Main Responsabilities:

Support the WSTP as an integral player by:

  • Assisting in overall coordination and planning;

  • Organizing and maintaining program records and documentation;

  • Coordinating meetings, travel, and receptions;

  • Preparing and distributing accurate meeting minutes;

  • Communicating program updates and progress reports to stakeholders and leadership;

  • Responding to inquiries and resolving issues related to program initiatives;

  • Managing relationships with program partners, consultants, and contractors;

  • Proofreading and formatting documents;

  • Tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are maintained;

  • Assisting in the billing process.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a construction project support role;
  • Post Secondary education considered an asset;
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel and Oracle software (ex. Aconex or other Document Management System) ;
  • Capable of conducting analyses on complex data sets;
  • High attention to detail o Good planning, organization, and time management skills;
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and work with interruptions;
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issues;
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position, offered on a full-time basis, from Monday to Friday, day time.

  • Minimum three days on site or in office. Remote work is possible for two days if requested

  • Possible Work Hazard: Take care in moving or lifting office supplies. Infrequent exposure to plant hazards including noise, heavy equipment, fumes, and chemicals.
