About The Role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Coordinator, Total Rewards to join our dynamic Talent Programs team.
Our Total Rewards team designs and manages programs and practices that reflect and reinforce our organization's commitment to attracting, motivating, and retaining talented, engaged, and productive employees.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Total Rewards, the Coordinator, Total Rewards provides dedicated program support to the Total Rewards team and overall coordination within the Talent Programs department. In this role, you will ensure adherence to established practices and procedures while monitoring departmental activities—tracking deliverables, managing issues, maintaining schedules, and preparing status reports as needed.
You will also identify and recommend enhancements to existing programs and processes and provide leadership or support for various projects and initiatives.
Formula for success
- Leveraging your skills in research and analytics, you will provide comprehensive support to the Total Rewards team by preparing reports, presentation materials, and insights that enable the team’s operational needs.
- Applying your organizational strengths, you will coordinate departmental activities and initiatives, including tracking projects, monitoring deliverables, and preparing detailed status reports.
- Contributing your attention to detail, you will assist in developing program documentation such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), forms, presentations, submissions, training materials, and other project deliverables.
- Demonstrating your leadership in document management, you will support the team by ensuring proper formatting, filing, and archiving of project-related documents and maintaining document databases.
- Utilizing your administrative and coordination abilities, you will organize and maintain databases and records, including project documentation, progress reports, and issue and risk logs.
Desired education and skills
- Post secondary level education in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably in business or project management, is required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Experience in the project management lifecycle is an asset.
- Experience within Total Rewards or Compensation would be a definite asset.
- Strong organizational, administrative, analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
- Desire to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- Working knowledge of project management principles is an asset.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English are essential.

- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at 1800 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario 40% of the time/days of the week.
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
- Travel requirements - travel will be required to attend mobile events, and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services
