Your area of focus.

The Parts Driver plays a crucial role in the daily operations of a dealership by ensuring that parts are delivered to customers, technicians, or other dealership locations in a timely and safe manner. This position typically requires strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as a good knowledge of automotive parts and their applications.

What drives your day-to-day?

  • Deliver automotive parts to customers, service technicians, or other locations in a timely manner.

  • Ensure parts are accurately loaded and delivered to the correct locations.

  • Provide customer service and assist with unloading or loading parts.

  • Maintain an organized inventory and verify deliveries against orders.

  • Plan efficient delivery routes and manage time to meet deadlines.

  • Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, organized, and well-maintained.

  • Follow safety guidelines while driving and handling parts. Keep accurate records of deliveries and assist with returns or damaged parts.

What are the must-haves…

  • A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license are essential for this role.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy automotive parts, sometimes weighing over 50 pounds.

  • Basic knowledge of automotive parts and terminology is helpful.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with customers, parts department staff, and service technicians.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage deliveries and ensure that all parts are delivered on time. Punctuality and reliability are essential, as timely deliveries are crucial for keeping service operations running smoothly.
