The Opportunity

Garfinkel’s is looking for an experienced and energetic General Manager to take the reins at one of Whistler’s most iconic dancebars. Known for high-energy nights and unforgettable moments, Garf’s sits at the heart of Whistler’s nightlife scene—and this role is your chance to shape its next chapter.

As General Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of daily operations—from staffing and scheduling to inventory, events, and guest experience. You’ll work closely with the Executive team to drive strategy, elevate programming, and ensure Garfinkel’s continues to lead the nightlife scene in Whistler.

This is a hands-on leadership role where your impact will be felt in the culture, performance, and reputation of the venue every single night.

Wage and Perks of the Job

  • $65,000 – $80,000 based on experience

Your Days Will Look Like

  • Lead recruitment, training, and development of your team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture
  • Oversee scheduling and daily shift execution, ensuring strong communication and seamless operations
  • Maintain comprehensive sales and product knowledge across all offerings
  • Manage inventory and ordering to ensure readiness for every shift
  • Drive key performance metrics, including revenue, labour, and completion of Hook Ups
  • Attend and contribute to regular operations meetings focused on performance, profitability, and team feedback
  • Lead quarterly marketing and event initiatives to keep Garfinkel’s fresh, relevant, and exciting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance guest experience and maximize business performance
  • Ensure an exceptional guest experience from entry to exit, maintaining Garfinkel’s reputation as a top nightlife destination

What You Bring to the Table

  • Proven experience in nightlife or hospitality management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
  • Solid administrative and computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS systems, scheduling/timekeeping platforms)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • A genuine passion for nightlife culture and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Serving It Right certification
  • First Aid (OFA 1 or equivalent) is an asset
