Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for credit and collections? We’re currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our team at our Mississauga office.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our company’s credit policies and sales objectives by managing customer portfolios, assessing creditworthiness, and ensuring timely collections. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and build strong relationships with clients to resolve disputes, manage risk, and help drive consistent cash flow.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day to day collections, account file reviews, releasing of credit held orders and recommendations of credit worthiness.
- Develop and maintain key account relationships in support of company goals, credit policies and sales objectives
- Ensure established unit budgets are met to create/maintain positive cash flow and protect organization asset base
- Review credit limit/terms within level of authority by ensuring proper research and analysis is performed and provide detailed business intelligence in support of major line increases for the Regional Credit Manager
- Apply continuous improvement to collection techniques and strategies to meet regional targets and goals
- Promote and contribute to the success of partnership between all departments through continuous communication
- Develop rapport and strengthen relationships with customers. Address claims and disputes resolution quickly and effectively
- Ensure that credit services are provided in a highly professional, productive and efficient manner
- Minimize bad debt by identifying and managing customer portfolios
- Contribute to the profitability of the region by ensuring continuous cash-flow by converting receivables into cash.
- Handle general credit administrative duties such as month end reporting, billing, and correspondence related to credit management.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum three (3) years Credit & Collections experience.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical, time management, organizational and decision-making skills
- Honest and team oriented, active at cultivating business & workplace relationships
- Well versed in Microsoft Office suite
- Previous experience working with confidential information
- Attention to detail.
Preferable:
- Post-secondary education in the field of Finance or Business Administration
- CCP designation or enrollment in CCP program with the Credit Institute of Canada preferred

We purchase products from North American steel mills, independent manufacturers of flanges, valves, fittings, pipe and tubular goods and other accessories, international steel mills or other distributors.
Steel Distributors Our steel distributors act as master distributors selling steel in large volumes to other steel service centers and large equipment manufacturers mainly on an "as is" basis. The main steel products sourced by this segment are carbon steel plate, flat rolled products, beams, channel and pipe.
