What You’ll Be Doing The Senior growth manager plays a critical role in driving customer and portfolio growth across Simplii Financials’ banking products under the Investments category, and related offerings. This role holds direct P&L responsibility for the investment portfolio and actively manages the key revenue, margin and growth levers. Operates at the intersection of customer insights, analytics, product strategy, and campaign execution. The Senior growth manager is responsible for identifying growth opportunities across the customer lifecycle (acquisition, activation, retention, re-engagement, and monetization), translating insights into hypotheses, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver measurable business impact. The Senior growth manager partners closely with Product Managers, Marketing, Analytics, CX, and Finance to identify growth opportunities, optimize the customer lifecycle, and deliver sustainable balance and revenue growth. This is a highly analytical role designed for someone who is comfortable owning business outcomes, working with financial forecasts, and translating customer behavior into measurable P&L impact.
At Simplii Financial, we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2–3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How You'll Succeed
- Portfolio P&L Ownership - Own P&L performance for Simplii’s Savings and investment products (including TFSA, RRSP, GICs, and USD accounts); lead performance metrics such as balances, inflows/outflows, retention, and CAC; partner with Finance to support Latest Estimate (LE) cycles, forecasting, and planning; and identify opportunities within the portfolio and own outcomes to grow the portfolio.
- Customer & Growth Analytics - Analyze end-to-end customer funnels to identify friction points, drop-offs, and opportunities to improve conversion, funding, and engagement; conduct cohort analysis to understand retention, balance growth, and customer lifetime value; partner with the Analytics team to build dashboards and metrics that link customer behavior to business outcomes; and identify leading indicators of successful customers (e.g., behaviors that correlate with higher balances or retention).
- Cross-Functional Partnership - Work closely with Product Managers to influence roadmap priorities; provide insight-driven recommendations for pricing, offers, campaigns, and feature enhancements; support planning and execution of promotional and evergreen campaigns tied to portfolio objectives; ensure campaigns and product changes align with customer needs, performance goals, and regulatory requirements; and monitor post-launch performance and recommend optimization or iteration.
- Analytics, Insights & Experimentation - Use data to uncover behavioral patterns, pinch points, and growth opportunities across the investment funnel; conduct cohort analysis to understand performance over time and across segments; design, prioritize, and evaluate experiments that impact funding behaviors, retention, and monetization; and measure results rigorously and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Experimentation & Optimization - Develop growth hypotheses grounded in customer data, behavioral insights, and business goals; measure experiment results with rigor, clearly articulating impact, confidence, and trade-offs; maintain an experimentation backlog prioritized by impact, confidence, and effort; translate learnings into scalable recommendations for product, marketing, and lifecycle strategies; and design and support A/B tests, multivariate tests, and controlled experiments across web, app, email, and campaigns.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with the Marketing team to ensure messaging and channels align with customer intent, savings, and investment goals; collaborate with CX, NPS, and Voice-of-Customer teams to integrate qualitative insights into growth strategies; work with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to ensure responsible growth practices; and communicate insights, results, and recommendations clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
Who You Are
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large datasets, funnels, and performance metrics and familiarity with SQL, A/B testing strategy, experimentation platforms, or analytics tools.
