The Food Services Waiter/Hospitality Ambassador will support the Toronto 60th floor boardroom, hospitality areas, and café operations. This hybrid role combines responsibilities across food services and front house support, including delivering an elevated guest experience, coordinating food and beverage service, and providing light reception and administrative assistance as needed.

The schedule for this position would be 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Major Responsibilities:

Food Services/Hospitality

  • Maintain the 60th floor main kitchen and coffee serveries to firm standards, ensuring coffee and dishwashing equipment is fully operational, supplies are stocked, and kitchen areas are clean and organized
  • Receive catering deliveries and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Ensure all boardrooms are clean, well-maintained, and report any damages or maintenance issues requiring attention
  • Prepare and deliver food and beverage service for meetings, including boardroom setup, beverage refreshes, and post-meeting cleanup
  • Liaise with catering expeditors to support seamless daily catering operations
  • Communicate operational updates, service needs, and event feedback to department management and event organizers

Reception/Client Experience Ambassador

  • Provide support for ad hoc and 60th floor boardroom bookings, with occasional assistance for bookings on other floors
  • Offer telephone support for desk phone inquiries and general hospitality-related questions
  • Liaise with Reception and Meeting Planning teams to support seamless meeting and boardroom operations
  • Maintain clear communication with hospitality team members through Microsoft Teams
  • Welcome clients and visitors professionally, ensure timely assistance, notify appropriate contacts of arrivals, and coordinate requested services
  • Support Firm security protocols by ensuring all visitors are properly registered, issued visitor passes, and escalating concerns to Firm or building security as needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the 60th floor buffet, assisting clients and lawyers with buffet procedures, meeting directions, menu inquiries, and special catering requests
  • Respond promptly to urgent requests for additional boardroom or hospitality services
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

The position requires a high school diploma and previous experience working in Hospitality Services and demonstrated experience with automated booking systems. Experience in food and beverage and/or the catering industry is an asset.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on delivering a high-quality guest experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels of the Firm
  • Sound problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and responsiveness
  • Working knowledge of Information Services, Food & Beverage, and Premises operations, including an understanding of available support services
  • Proficiency with computer applications including EMS, EMS Web App (eBookings), SharePoint, Social Tables, FileMaker Pro, and Microsoft Outlook

This role is fully onsite and requires regular in-office presence to support daily hospitality, catering, and boardroom operations

Compensation:

The range of expected compensation for this position is $48,000 - $55,000 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of factors including job-related knowledge, education, skills and experience.
