Part-time Dual Security Supervisor - Brantford Casino
About the role
Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under the general direction of the Manager, Security or the Director, Operations, this Supervisor position is responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of security operations at the site level. Provides input on performance evaluations. Assists with the implementation all new security operations initiatives. When in the security officer role this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external) and the company's assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. When in both positions (officer/supervisor) you are to ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
- Mentors, coaches and trains front line security staff, including best practices for the non-gaming record keeping system
- Verifies security timesheets
- Monitors, documents and reports internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious per sons and activities of the entire property as directed; prepares electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping system
- Enrolls guests into the Self-Exclusion Program
- Administers and maintains various critical security systems (e.g., Key Control, WINPAC, SIMS, Threat Management System)
- Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Observes cashier transactions and slot drops (if applicable); escorts cash and cash equivalent movements
- Conducts regular patrols of the entire property as directed; identifies risks and conditions that present safety issues for team members, guests, facility and company assets
- Provides or assists with First Aid for team members and guests
- Tags and reports found property; transfers to Lost and Found
- Responds to, resolves or escalates security issues
- May escort guests and team members or assign escort duties as required
- Performs identification checks as required
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, team members, regulatory bodies and police authorities
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs to her duties as assigned or directed
- Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or activities
- Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
- Escorts cash/cash equivalents
- Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
- Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
- Escorts guests and team members as directed
- Performs identification checks
- Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
- Performs crowd control as directed
- Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education And Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years security experience in a gaming environment; supervisory experience an asset; surveillance experience an asset
- Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Smart Serve Certification an asset
- Ability to successfully obtain AFAR training within 6 months of starting in the role
- Can understand, speak and write English; fluency in other languages an asset
- Computer literacy in MS Office
