Full Time Intermediate Hybrid
Jacknife is looking for a Designer with 3-5 years of experience to help shape and deliver creative work for a range of clients, including large, high-profile brands. You're a design-led thinker with a strong foundation in visual communication, typography, layout, and brand systems. You care about craft, but you also understand that great design solves problems, creates clarity, and helps brands connect with people.
You've developed the ability to take projects from concept through execution while working within established brand guidelines and creative frameworks. You're comfortable juggling multiple priorities, collaborating across teams, and producing thoughtful, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hands-on design role. You'll spend your days creating, refining, adapting, and rolling out work across a variety of touchpoints. You'll work closely with senior designers, creative directors, account teams, and production partners to bring ideas to life while continuing to grow your strategic thinking and creative confidence.

Job responsibilities
Design and execute creative work across print, digital, social, presentations, environmental graphics, and campaign applications Support the development and rollout of visual identity systems, brand assets, templates, and marketing materials Collaborate with senior designers, creative directors, strategists, account teams, and production partners throughout the creative process Translate creative concepts into polished, accurate, and production-ready deliverables Contribute ideas and creative thinking during brainstorming sessions, workshops, and internal reviews Maintain brand consistency across a wide range of deliverables and communication channels Prepare files for production and work with internal and external partners to ensure quality execution Present and discuss work internally with confidence and a willingness to receive constructive feedback Stay informed on design trends, tools, technology, and cultural shifts that can inspire stronger creative solutions Help identify opportunities to improve workflows, templates, systems, and creative processes
Qualifications
3–5 years of professional design experience, preferably within an agency, branding, or in-house creative environment Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in graphic design, typography, layout, and visual storytelling Experience developing work across both print and digital channels Understanding of brand systems and the ability to work within established guidelines while bringing fresh thinking to the work Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and incorporating feedback into your work Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Figma Working knowledge of motion design, After Effects, Premiere Pro, or other creative tools is considered an asset Experience with presentation design, event materials, and content rollouts is considered an asset Familiarity with accessibility best practices, including AODA and WCAG standards, is considered an asset RGD Membership will be considered an asset for this position
Salary range
$55,000-$65,000

The Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) is Canada's largest professional association for graphic designers. The RGD represents over 4,000 design practitioners, including firm owners, freelancers, managers, educators and students.
The RGD was created by an Act of the Ontario Legislature (Bill Pr 56) to grant designers with the designation "Registered Graphic Designer" or "RGD," and is the only graphic design association in North America to have this type of legislation.
