About the role

True North Sports + Entertainment is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team!

The Front Desk Security plays a vital role in the responsibility of public, safety & security for employees and patrons of Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill.

What to be excited for in this role:

  • Checking validity of I.D’s entering the property
  • Uphold regulations to provide a secure environment for all employees, visitors, and patrons.
  • Protect the property and assets of Shark Club Sports Bar & Grill from theft or damage.
  • Maintain order within and around the property using conflict resolution.
  • Oversee access to the property including checking I.D. Validity and enforcement of access procedures, all based on established policies.
  • Respond to disturbances, threats, and all other emergencies as necessary.
  • Conduct regular security rounds and maintain a legible detailed log of rounds and complete detailed reports of all incidents as required.
  • Pro-actively providing outstanding service to all guests entering or walking by Shark Club with the goal of creating a Superior Guest Experience.
  • Assist guests with coat check.
  • Perform other duties as required that align with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.

What we need from you:

  • Must be able to work, days, evenings, and weekends. Willing to work overnights as required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Manitoba security license.
  • High School diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must provide a clean criminal record check as well as child abuse registry check
  • 2 years’ experience in the security industry.
  • Ability to work independently, be a positive contributor to a team in a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment.
  • Be of good physical condition to conduct a variety of physically challenging duties.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Working knowledge of crowd control considered an asset.
  • Background in conflict resolution, problem solving and guest experience.
  • Strong service skills with a demonstrated ability to positively interact with the public.
