What You Will Do

• Deploy, configure, and maintain on-premises infrastructure and cloud-based services.
• Perform regular maintenance, patching, upgrades, and monitoring of all software and systems.
• Strengthen security through improvements in policies, procedures, and technology adoption.
• Support the Help Desk by resolving escalated issues.
• Contribute to other IT projects and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications – Must Haves

• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator, focusing on on-premises systems and infrastructure.s
• Strong experience with Windows Server administration, including AD, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Print Servers, and Remote Desktop Services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
• Familiarity with Microsoft System Center, SQL Server, and Exchange.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Teams, Azure AD (Entra), and Exchange Online.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and service-oriented.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with ability to travel to remote sites in Calgary and Edmonton.

Additional Skills – The Nice to Haves

• Microsoft certifications.

• Experience with Veeam Backups.

• Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint

• Familiarity with Windows Failover Clustering.

• PowerShell scripting and task automation.

• Experience supporting Apple iOS devices (iPhones, iPads).

• Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Cisco Call Manager, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba networking, HPE servers, and Nimble storage.

• Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles in Windows environments.

• Post-secondary education in an IT-related field is an asset.
