Reception-Casual/On-call
AVENS currently has an exciting role available in the Administration Department:
Receptionist-Casual
Reporting mainly to the Chief Housing Officer, The Receptionist is primarily responsible for providing receptionist, administrative, and clerical support in accordance with Avens’ policies, practices and procedures. This is a casual/on-call position with expected 4-8 hours per week, Monday to Friday with hours between 8:00 am-4:00 pm. Reception coverage may vary between AVEN Administration and AVEN Pavilion.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of related financial/administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment
- Training and/or certification in Office administration/bookkeeping
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) and accounting software proficiency
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector (VS) Criminal Record Check
- Strong interpersonal skills, culturally sensitive and well organized
- Strong communication skills (active listening, reading, speaking and writing)
- Equivalencies of work experience and/or education may be considered

Pay and Benefits
SALARY:$29.20 per hour plus Northern Travel Allowance
**VACATION:**Collective Agreement governs how term vacation leave is allotted and administered
**SICK LEAVE:**not available on casual positions
**OTHER BENEFITS:**Friendly, social environment, lots of room for growth
