Position Overview We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented professional to support the operations and asset management of our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing existing assets such as purification systems, pressure regulators, and analytical equipment. You’ll spend time on-site at RNG plants and stations, gaining hands-on experience with biogas upgrading and leading troubleshooting and improvement projects. You’ll also manage budgets, coordinate with contractors, and support field teams to ensure smooth execution.
As a technical resource, you’ll help identify and resolve operational challenges while driving initiatives to enhance plant efficiency, reliability, and performance. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of delivering sustainable energy solutions. In this role, you will:
- Provide operations support and asset management for existing renewable gas assets including gas purification systems, pressure regulators, measurement devices, and analytical equipment. This role will focus on existing RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) assets.
- Spend time at our RNG plants and stations to learn about biogas upgrading and its operational challenges. You will oversee the day to day implementation of RNG plant troubleshooting and improvement projects by coordinating with operations and supporting field activities. This will include managing budgets/schedules and liaising with external contractors.
- Act as a technical reference and participate in the identification and resolution of problems.
- Identify and implement measures to improve RNG plant efficiency, reliability, and operability.
What it takes:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Seven years of recent and relevant experience in an energy sector role.
- Professional Engineering designation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks with a wide range of process definition.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Sound technical knowledge and understanding of natural gas systems and natural gas supply chain design, operation, and functionality.
- Knowledge of industry and government gas codes, regulations, and standards.
- Knowledge of asset management, engineering, and risk assessment tools is considered an asset.
- Gas system operations experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with renewable gas technologies is considered an asset.
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
