We are looking for driven candidates currently enrolled in post-secondary education to work as a Summer Student Packer, General Labourer or Warehouse Worker who want a value-added experience in plant operations at our food manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Compensation: $19/hr

This position will require full-time availability May through September and you can be assigned to a variety of shifts (including weekends) between the hours of 7am-11pm, as well as overnight shifts 11pm-7am.

Responsibilities What you’ll be working on:

Packer

  • Fold and label boxes
  • Pack sealed bags of product into boxes
  • Stack boxes to build a skid
  • Clean machines and area as needed
  • Work in an ergonomically correct manner

General Labourer

  • Provide packers with supplies needed
  • Shrink wrap and remove skids from packaging area
  • Some heavy lifting required
  • Work in an ergonomically correct manner

Warehouse Worker

  • Pick orders from a pick list to be placed on a moving belt system
  • Load and unload trailers
  • Work in an egronomically correct manner
  • Perform general clean-up/sanitation duties including facility and ground appearance

Qualifications

  • Completed high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be enrolled in a post secondary education program in Canada
  • Available to work up to and including Labour Day weekend
  • Great teamwork and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Flexible –Willingness to work all shifts including afternoons, nights, weekends, and weekend nights
  • Must be able to perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, grasping and stair climbing
  • Must be able to lift / carry up to 50lbs
