About the role
As a Corporate Accountant you will be a key team member in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Your goal will be to ensure timely and accurate completion of consolidated financial information while applying financial accounting standards and resolving departures from policy. Your success will depend on your ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities, support audits, implement ICFR guidelines, and contribute to special projects and other responsibilities as required.

Your Responsibilities:
- Review/prepare monthly recurring and complex ad hoc journal entries
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Review and maintain monthly account reconciliations and other control activities
- Prepare quarter end financial statements and notes
- Review and analyze month end financial results
- Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Assist with internal and external audit coordination
- Implement ICFR guidelines
- Apply financial accounting standards, identify and resolve departures from policies
Your Skills:
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines / proven ability to meet hard deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications
- Able to adjust communication style to work effectively with employees at all levels
- Proven ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders including senior leaders
Your Experience:
- Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; university degree preferred or professional designation such as CPA
- 4+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and / or project engineering experience
