Housekeeping/Laundry Aide

About the role

As a valued interdisciplinary team member, the Housekeeping Aide, under the direction of the

Housekeeping Supervisor, performs general cleaning duties in the Park Place Home, including the

cleaning of Residents’ rooms, bathrooms, staff rooms, offices and other areas as assigned. Follows all

relevant Park Place policies including infection prevention and control, WHMIS and quality

improvement. Treats Residents with dignity and demonstrates an attitude of caring. The Housekeeping

Aide ensures a commitment to Resident safety and to our “culture of safety” as per Park Place Strategic

Directions.

As a valued interdisciplinary team member, the Laundry Aide, under the direction of the Support

Services Supervisor, collects, sorts, launders and returns laundry to source in the Home including

Resident and site laundry, following infection prevention and control guidelines and laundry

equipment procedure. Treats Residents with dignity and demonstrates an attitude of caring. The

Laundry Aide ensures a commitment to Resident safety and to our “culture of safety” as per Park

Place Strategic Directions.
