The National Sales Coordinator contributes to the overall success of Coast Hotels by providing superior customer service to internal and external key stakeholders, intermediate administrative support to the National Sales department, and support the maximization of revenue growth through the selling of Coast Hotels owned, managed and franchise products or services as identified in the Commercial Strategy Plan.
Acts as a key point of contact for National Sales; liaises with internal and external contacts including Coast Hotels sales Ambassadors to facilitate work outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Performs moderately complex tasks in the area of sales and marketing support such as responding to product and service inquiries, assisting with the development of content for product and promotional material, and tracking account activity
- Liaises and communicates with Coast Hotels Sales Ambassadors to ensure all leads are responded to promptly and a high conversion rate is achieved throughout the portfolio of hotels
- Monitors, screens, and responds to/distributes incoming communications
- Generates reports and assists properties with proposals
- Promotes Coast Hotels products and services; assists with the organization and coordination of campaigns, events, and tradeshows or other promotions/activities as required
- Ensures timely processing of all activities to the sales function, including detailed, updated, and completed client files
- Drafts correspondence, prepares presentations and coordinates related materials with the corporate Marketing department
- Maintains accurate files and organized sales automation techniques and customer communication standards
- Ensures accurate billing and record maintenance
- Demonstrates a high customer service attitude with Coast Hotels properties, Ambassadors, clients, and third-party vendors
- Activates records of all customer relationship management initiatives and sales activities utilizing the company-assigned automation tools
- Participates in corporate and chain-wide committees as assigned
- Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Secondary school diploma
- 2 years of related experience with at least 6 months in a customer service role
- Intermediate level in the use of MS Office Suite
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Strong phone manner/etiquette and communication skills with emphasis on promoting hotel services and products
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines, and strong organizational skills
- Advanced communication, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Some experience with conflict resolution
- Exemplifies Coast's Core Values and enjoys a culture of accountability
Additional Skills & Performance Behaviours
- Sound knowledge of Coast’s policies, practices, and procedures
- Understands/speaks a second language an asset
- Previous experience in the hotel industry is an asset
