This position will directly report to the Maintenance Superintendent at our 11 Aviation Facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Rotating Shift work. 12 hour shifts, two weeks of days followed by two weeks of nights.
- Operating and maintaining various stationary equipment, including boilers, chillers, air compressors, and HVAC systems.
- Monitoring and controlling all systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations during the shift.
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance of systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions as necessary to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
- Maintaining accurate logs of all system operations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Performing appropriate water tests on water systems.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with other departments, including maintenance, production, and engineering, to support operational goals.
- Responding to emergency situations, alarms, and system failures and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Assisting with equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications as needed.
- Ensuring the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
Qualifications Required:
- 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, maintaining boilers, chillers, HVAC and PLC Systems.
Preferred:
- 3rd Class Engineering Certificate.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cGMP guidelines is an asset.
- Millwright, Electrical, Electro-mechanical or plumbing training.
- Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge
Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule.
The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $19.86 - $34.75/hr CAD plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
