We are currently seeking an experienced Superintendent for a project in Eriksdale, Manitoba. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in collaborative environments and takes pride in delivering high-quality work safely and efficiently.

About the Role

As Superintendent, you will oversee daily site operations and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the project from start to finish. You will coordinate trades, manage schedules, maintain safety standards, and foster a positive, productive jobsite culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all daily site operations to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trades, materials, and equipment

  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules and lookahead plans

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards

  • Maintain accurate project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, inspections, and change orders

  • Identify and resolve issues proactively to keep the project moving efficiently

  • Work collaboratively with project managers, consultants, and stakeholders

  • Foster a respectful, organized, and high-performing work environment

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial, institutional, or industrial construction

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to manage schedules, subcontractors, and site logistics effectively

  • Thorough understanding of construction safety practices and quality control

  • Experience with healthcare facilities, hospitals, or personal care home construction is considered a strong asset

  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt in fast-paced construction environments

  • Valid driver’s license

About PENN-CO CONSTRUCTION

Established in 1959 by Abram K. Penner and his two sons, Penn-co Construction began as a small farm based logging operation near the village of Blumenort which is approximately thirty miles Southeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In the 1980’s and 90’s, Ernie Penner expanded Penn-co to new locations throughout Canada and the United States including Calgary, Toronto, Minneapolis and Raleigh. Although the head office has always been located in Blumenort, Penn-co has successfully completed projects from Ontario to British Columbia as well as in Minnesota, Nebraska and North Carolina.
